Folks:

Again had a thing where Discourse was loading as "blank" . . . so I'm
posting over here.

So, the other night I booted my '09 MBP into Lu Hirsute and logged into my
work's wifi connnection and I ran apt and it found "794 packages to
upgrade" . . . and it downloaded and installed them with only a few "W"
lines . . . overall it went well.

Since it was such a large upgrade I rebooted, and on reboot when I tried to
re-connect to wifi, which needs a "network management" window to open in
the browser to log in . . . it worked minutes before, but on reboot, now,
no wifi??? Tried to "un-enable wifi" in the drop down menu, and re-enable
. . . nothing worked.

At that location they have ethernet, so I connected that way, the applet
showed "no connection" . . . but when I tried to send emails,, it worked???

Now, at another work location, they have only wifi, I'm logged in in OSX
and wifi is working to send this email, but the wifi channel isn't showing
up in the Lubuntu list at all?? It isn't refreshing . . . the list, let
alone connecting??? I believe that something was changed in the upgrade
which hasn't been friendly to wifi???
