It is really strange. By default, the dialogue box is not fully displayed -
it is as if it has drawn the dialogue box bigger than the screen and it got
clipped.
However, if you maximise the dialogue, it rearranges itself to fit the full
screen.

I had a look at the output of the xdpyinfo command and it returned 1024 x
600 pixels as the dimensions. Is this the information you were after?
