October's just around the corner, which means that the release of 16.10
Yakkety Yak is coming soon. According to the [release schedule][1], the
plan is to release the final beta of it on 22 September. So we need your
help, testers!

I would expect images to be ready the Monday or Tuesday before that.
Meanwhile, this weekend, I would encourage you all to test [daily
images][2], keeping a look out for [bugs from beta1][3]. Make sure to
confirm them on the tracker. If there are new ones, please make sure to
report them on the tracker and spread the word on this list so that other
testers can be aware of them.

If you're new to this or simply curious, you can find a lot of information
about how the whole process works on our [testing page][4]. If you have any
questions, don't hesitate to ask here or pop in to #lubuntu-devel on
Freenode and say hi.

Thanks for making Lubuntu better!
