Hi again Simon,

I did some checking and found that Phill is right, the page for beta 1 
is not found. I spent some time looking around, but found no beta 1 
files for Lubuntu (only for Ubuntu Cloud).

But there is an old version in my own Lubuntu directory:

739246080 mar  4 16:32 xenial-alternate-amd64.iso.zs-old

I have uploaded it to Phill's server at

http://phillw.net/isos/linux-tools/alpha-beta/
