First off, thanks everyone for the very well thought out responses and i apologize for stepping a bit out of line. My message was far too imposing instead of inviting. I'd like to instead say that if you, personally, are interested in free software, i invite you to join LibrePlanet and start your own team if one doesn't already exist. Even here in Massachusetts where i've started a LibrePlanet Chapter, our Ubuntu LoCo will continue working and we'll be sure to collaborate down the line.
This is not the first time I have
witnessed this happen. The FSF tried to hijack UK Linux User Groups
recently and this was an abysmal failure as the members of those teams
saw through the transparent hijacking attempt very quickly.

This is very interesting, i'm curious to know more. Anyways, this idea has been brewing for a long time and the reason i chose LibrePlanet is because it already exists and has the scope i was envisioning.
