We do pretty much the same thing here in Norway. The forum is by far the
most used resource, followed by the IRC (#ubuntu-no) and the mailing-list.
Information is given mostly through our website and we try to use the Ubuntu
Wiki for organizing activities.

The team offers installation help as well under events such as release
parties, jams and educational centers (specially universities) as well as
access to the CDs and distribution of the software in general (libraries,
company lobbies, conferences.)

We try to organize installfests parallel with the Ubuntu release parties,
but are not always successful at doing that. Although we have managed to
have up to 4 or 5 simultaneous events around the country at some point.
