Best Welcome Blurb?

Hi all,

I am the list admin for this list. When new people join the list, 
mailman can send a short blurb to the new member. This seems like a 
great opportunity to share with people our most important resources such 
as the IRC channel, the wiki etc. I wanted to just throw it open to see 
if anyone wants to write a short (50 words or so) paragraph that 
explains this in a nice and friendly way.
