I have been planning to publish some info on the release party in
Zimbabwe too, but we are still in the process of setting up our local
drupal site and I've been waiting for one of the other team members to
get a photo album module working, so that we can have all the pics
readily accessible (hopefully in the next couple of days).

I would be thrilled to have Zimbabwe mentioned in any "efforts" that are
undertaken, particularly since this was the first EVER release party in
Zimbabwe (so it was quite small), and also in light of the current
political unrest, violence and the economic situation in our country I
think it is really fantastic that people are still finding the
motivation to take an interest in Ubuntu and open source.

I do hope to present a report in the very near future, but please count
us in if anything is done "collectively". We want the world to know that
even though the country itself is almost dead, Ubuntu in Zimbabwe is
very much alive!

Regards,
Neil
