gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg gstreamer0.10-gl gstreamer0.10-plugins-base
gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly
gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly-multiverse
gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad-multiverse libxine1-ffmpeg libxine1-plugins
audacious-plugins audacious-plugins-extra audacious-plugins-ugly
libdvdread3

(You need to activate the universe and multiverse repositories from
the menu System > administration > software sources)

medibuntu.org is an extra repository which provides some "dark", yet
very useful codecs.
