I agree with Rafael that managing money isn't an easy task, but it's
necessary. I think we all agree on that a LoCo Team isn't for profit, but
that doesn't mean that a LoCo Team (specially a large and active one) can be
run without funds. We have at least 2 or 3 events per month and it's
impossible to organize them without money. So far we have been funding our
activities from our pockets, and we will probably do so in the near future.
As i see it, the problem is what to do when we manage to get large funds
from local corporations (or even government agencies). Are we going to say
"No, thanks!"?? A pretty good solution is what the ubuntu-ve LoCo Team has
been doing; not accept any money but instead let the sponsors pay for the
expenses directly to the providers.
