I recently picked up a HP notebook with an AMD Turion 64 x2 TL-50 processor with 1 GB or RAM. While trying to install Ubuntu 6.10 my computer freezes up within the GUI installer. I looked all over the documentation on-line and so far it does not look like my processor is supported fully. Is there any updates I need to do or any environment variables that I need to know before I install?
