Hotkey events changed during update from Dapper to Edgy

Hi there,

as stated in [1], ACPI events sent by my computer in case of
brightness up and down -keys have changed in update from Dapper to
Edgy. This also happens with clean install.

Is there any way I could trap the buggy Brightness up and prevent it
from killing my X.org? I can't see any reference in /etc/acpi/events
to that code.
