Yes, definately.  The aim is to have everything work out-of-the-box.  In
your case, call you should need to do is type:

  sudo apt-get install 915resolution

and reboot.  Proper i810 mode setting will be in the next release of Ubuntu
now that Intel have donated code to do it.
