testing in virtual machine vs. live session

I always thought that only real installations are valid for tests. That's  
the reason my testing page is still Breezy without advancing further.

My experience is that most machines do fine with the live CD but have  
failures when actually using it after installation (or better: during real  
installation).

Just my thoughts.
