Dapper Drake Beta install failure

I just tried installing from the beta iso on my Acer Aspire 1362LC. The
install worked up to starting the GDM after rebooting for the first
time. At this point the screen goes black and the machine hangs
requiring a hard reset.

Prior to installing I ran the CD integrity check which said everything
was okay. Every flight up to this point has installed fine, I'm not sure
what might have changed to cause this. I can boot to the command line in
recovery mode if anybody wants any more information on this failure
before attempt to fix it or wipe it.
