ThinkPad R40: from Hoary to Breezy

After the laptop update the sound doesn't works:

$ lspci | grep -i multimedia
0000:00:1f.5 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corp. 82801DB/DBL/DBM
(ICH4/ICH4-L/ICH4-M) AC'97 Audio Controller (rev 03)

in one ThinkPad R40 HSG2681 (P4 @ 2 GHz)

Is one bug (#15585 and #17858) and this is the solution:
http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=17858#c5
http://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=15585#c4

Now all works fine except ACPI_SLEEP: when the system wake up, after 30-40
seconds the hard disk goes on (LED and activity).

The CPU doesn't hangs: I can use programs that dont need hard disk. But
worried with the intensive disk activity (or failure) I always quickly power
off the laptop. I can't see disk errors in /var/log/ files. Well, only one
time I've seen disk errors in /var/log/syslog with a less, but after the
power off this records are missing --the disk doensn't works and doesn't
writes; are important? ... I avoid this disk stress :)

ACPI_SLEEP doesn't worked with Hoary too.

ACPI_HIBERNATE works fine.
