Yes the install showed Lubuntu but that didn't bother me.<br>2) the new installer is fantastic! But the one thing I miss is notification on the "configure yourself" screen that a partition is to be formatted. Nice to be able to check that before clicking INSTALL.<br>3). The resulting installed system has hibernation turned <span style="-webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent;">on .(or suspend). And that is a show-stopper! Here's the first results.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large">I downloaded the beta from <a href="https://cdimage.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/releases/24.04/beta/" target="_blank">https://cdimage.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/releases/24.04/beta/</a>.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large"></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large">Then, I attempted to install kubuntu-24.04=beta-desktop-amd64.iso after burning it to a thumbdrive and logging on to my house wifi network.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large">I requested a full install to wipe out the previous OS. Also requested all updates as well as additional drivers and software.<br><br>The first error I noticed was that all of the install preview info screens reference Lubuntu and LXQt rather than Kubuntu.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large">That's all for now.
