The comments on that blog post are very illuminating.<span class="HOEnZb"><font color="#888888"></font></span></blockquote><div><br></div><div>Wow.  Yes, they are.<br><br></div><div>Not enabling a disable button was a very bad choice by the author, and putting it into the distribution was a bad choice by KDE and Kubuntu.  Fortunately, it looks like sanity has prevailed and the next version will have a disable switch.<br>
