I seem to have clicked on the command "Remove this panel" and now on minimizing any open window, I loose it for good. I followed the instructions given in link: http://www.ehow.com/how_8388140_reset-taskbar-kubuntu.html. I end up with following error. Essentially rm plasma-appletsrc gives following error. Highlighted red below. Proceeding further (even though this rm command failed) ended up in series of other errors. Ultimately I find plasma-desktop IS running (pa -A | grep plasma-desktop is successful). How do I kill and run plasma-desktop again? I am running kubuntu 10.04.4. I am in urgent need of help..
