Happens to me on occasion, too. I learned from the <a
href="http://pulseaudio.org/wiki/KDE">KDE page on PulseAudio's
wiki</a> that running <b>start-pulseaudio-kde</b> fixes this.
Temporarily, at least, until the problem recurs.<br>
