Perhaps OT discussions could be part of the reason, I think another
part of the reason could be the way some posters treat others. Us old
guys, are not part of that problem, we do not treat other posters badly.
If we do socialize a bit, it helps to mould us into a more cohesive
community. However, I will say, I hear you.

join, so I tend to lurk for a while until I get to know the groups.
Although, sometimes I jump right in, especially if I join a group with
a particular subject in mind.<br>

I belong to a group that has a few hundred messages a day, and many are
OT. I filter anything with<br>
OT OT- ot/ etc<br>
into a separate folder (although there is still a lot of OT stuff not
marked that way). It does help a bit.<br>
