I have an agp x 1300 --- 256 -- I know I have a dinosaur box ;p- -- what is xubuntu desktop --- I have the kubuntu shell with both gnome and kde sessions installed. do they play well together? meaning, if I install wine under gnome it will be there in kde?<br>

What CPU are you using?<br>

Otoh 2 gigs of ram look sufficent for me. Is your ATI supported by the<br>
official ATI drivers?<br>

If not, you might consider getting a supported card. Personally I use<br>
nvidia because they work troublefree in Linux, at least for me, but this<br>
is surely debatable.<br>

Anyway, with a decent "low end but supported by ATI/Nvidia drivers"<br>
ATI/Nvidia Graphics Card, you should be fine.<br>
