Try pressing Alt-F1 just after the GRUB screen. It may be that you had changed<br>
some settings in menu.1st that weren't in the default section.</blockquote><div><br>This is a good suggestion. I had a similar problem with Kubuntu Hardy Heron alpha 1. I had to press ctrl-alt-F1 after the grub screen every time in order to get it to boot. I am not sure what the underlying problem is, however.
