humbly confess to having designated the bottom of a filesystem tree
as "root". At the time, everyone was calling it "bottom", but I
suggested that since we were all geeks, too much talk of "mounting
the bottom" would make us laugh backwards, resulting in snorty noises.
I think we made the right decision.
