I've been in Windoz 3.11 - 98se home and XP at work, I've seen the alternatives and there's HOPE! Well done everyone in open source programming and development - Keep it up. My usage is mainly, was mainly in Access databasing, basics for most of you all, Quicken accounting and Bible study Programs such as E-Sword - these are yet to be explored for alternatives which dosn't sound too hard at this point. I've installed these last 4 months Xubuntu (mouse) and K on a dual boot to start to learn 'again' - therefore I encourage all those who are considering and have just made that step of faith into a new OS to take time to learn, the most used software, that gives you the tasks you need to perform for home and work. It takes time to crawl but you'll get the feeling that in a very short time frame you'll be walking and running again. ASK, Read and learn - Places like this to get great help from a great community.
