<div><br><br>I don't know but it sounds similar to my problem with a USB attached scanner. I can scan just fine as root, but I cannot access the device as a normal user at all. I think many thought this was a Brother all-in-one printer problem, however, I'm beginning to think its more widespread than that.

<div>Well I don't know if they are related. What I have now found out is that I can't access CD/DVDs either as a normal user - and I definitely could do that a while ago... so I think for me the problem is somehow related to mounting disk-devices. Though I certainly don't understand how it could all of a sudden change?!?
