It did not seem to work, I put below the output of the console. I also
commented out "mtu 1492" and made sure it was saved. I still need to
run pppoeconf every time I login to start my Internet connection.<br>
<br>
scott@kubuntu:~$ sudo pppoeconf<br>
Password:<br>
Plugin rp-pppoe.so loaded.<br>
scott@kubuntu:~$ poff<br>
/usr/bin/poff: /bin/kill failed. None stopped.<br>
scott@kubuntu:~$ pon<br>
/usr/sbin/pppd: In file /etc/ppp/peers/provider: unrecognized option
'/dev/modem '<br>
<br>
You also may have misunderstood me. My connection quality is perfect,
I just need to run ppoeconf every time now to connect to the internet
when before I use to only need to run PPPoeconf once and then the
computer would connect automatically at startup.<br>
