I was in a couple of local groups but they only meet once a month, and I can only ask so much of them via email. It was by no means just "one bad experience". I had far more problems than I showed. And it isn’t just the distros. For me at least, OOo has consistently been far too unreliable to consider using, even as a casual user, let alone in a commercial setting.
