It's odd that they recommend that (I see that Lenovo recommends that
key-combination to toggle WiFi on one of its support pages), because
this page says that Fn + F5 controls screen brightness:

From the list on that page, the Fn + F8 key-combination toggles
airplane mode on and off and the Fn + F10 key-combination toggles
your Bluetooth on and off, so both of those are worth a try.
Note that that page has a video that shows how to use the Fn key.
It's also possible that your WiFi has been physically turned off,
which would prevent the above toggle from working. In that case, this
should solve the WiFi issue:
