Hello Valorie and others.

I do not know what «ML» is. However, I get your point.

Good idea, I want to do this before making a fresh install with Kubuntu
24.04 at my system.

After each failed upgrade attempt, the last lines of the terminal read
like this:

«(....)

An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade.

If none of this applies, then please report this bug using the
command 'ubuntu-bug ubuntu-release-upgrader-core' in a terminal. If
you want to investigate this yourself the log files in
'/var/log/dist-upgrade' will contain details about the upgrade.
Specifically, look at 'main.log' and 'apt.log'.

(...)»

Is this the right way to submit a bug report in this situation?

Is it possible to attach a zip file with  ALL the reports in the
directory /var/log/dist-upgrade?

For the bug report, I can use an adapted version of the story I
submitted yesterday to this forum.

I agree with you. Already today, I want to do a fresh install of Kubuntu
24.04 LTS - because the system does not enable me anymore to put backups
at external HD's or USB sticks.

However, before doing so, I want to submit the bug report.

Note, Valorie and other developers......... Go to the download sites....

https://kubuntu.org/getkubuntu/

https://kubuntu.org/alternative-downloads/

I have a strong preference for a Bittorrent download, because it is more
quick and reliable. However, when clicking at the KTorrent link for
Kubuntu 24.04 LTS, I get this non-result:

https://kubuntu.org/alternative-downloads/_wp_link_placeholder

Is it possible for you or one of the other site administrators to fix
this problem?

I have tried to download the ISO in the regular way. However, the .iso
file I got this morning does not pass the SHA256 checksum test.

Now, I am downloading it again in the same way, for lack of a BitTorrent
link that is functional. I really want to make today a fresh install - I
cannot wait for the hardware upgrade, cause the system that is at my
laptop now, is simply not functional anymore.

I hope to hear from you again with a reply at this message.
