Advice on using FUSE

Hi all, I'm trying to use a specialty genealogy app, but it always fails. I
was recently advised that an Ubuntu user had found a work-around: install
the libfuse2 package. The two links included were

Any advice about whether or not this is a good idea? Sysinfo for
