kernel updates for k12.04

It will be a large download, yes, and it will take some time. Fresh
installs are always faster than upgrades, because the updater has to
not only download and install, but test that everything is good before
deleting the old stuff. If you can upgrade using the DVD you have,
fewer packages will need to be downloaded.

It is still important to check repeatedly that you have completely
updated once you restart to your newly upgraded Kubuntu 14.04.
