Kubuntu Council Elections 2017 - Call for Nominations

Due to the short notice calling the elections, some people are currently
away on holiday/vacation and aren't able to prepare a nomination email.
One such person is Rick Timmus [1], who I briefly spoke to earlier today
via Telegram. He indicated that he would like to stand, however, he is
currently away from keyboards, spending time with his family. Therefore,
he is unable to write to the mailing list himself before the deadline. So
I said I would briefly write on his behalf and communicate his intention to
stand.

For those who don't know, Rick [1] has been a Kubuntu member for over 6
years now and co-hosts the Podcast [2] along side Aaron and Ovidiu. He is
also a Community Manager, organises the DoJo's and online meetup's/hacking
sessions on Big Blue Button. You can watch past podcasts on YouTube [3]
and count the number of times he says "good stuff" during each show!

Due to family commitments he has had to suspend his contributions over the
summer period but intends to re-engage very shortly and therefore would
like you to consider him to represent you on the Kubuntu Council.

The deadline is 22:00UTC, shortly after I intend to prepare the ballots, so
it you are thinking of standing please contact me right now!

Clive
