If you press ctrl-alt-F1 to get some TTY prompt (text screen) and then
press ctrl-alt-del you will see that it does at least something ;-).
(which is instantly rebooting your computer, before you try and then
accuse me of lost work :p).
Also I think the BIOS may also respond to ctrl-alt-del.
