Kmail address book does not work

Hi,

On a fresh installation of 16.04 with Plasma 5. The address book (google in my 
case) is not accessible in new messages. I can get the address I need only by 
pressing Select at the right end of the TO field. Only recent addresses show 
up.

The autocompletion in Kmail settings ---> Composer are correct.

Browsed internet but could not find a solution. Thanks for any suggestion.
