Issues with Kubuntu 16.04.1

I have three particular remaining issues with Kubuntu 16.04.1, though
it must be said that it is a improvement on the initial release.
1) The 'Bouncing Cursor' and related options remain totally non-functional.
2) My Taskbar is set to autohide - it doesn't.
Let me elaborate: I use the traditional 'Application Menu' option and,
when I open a prog from the menu, the menu and taskbar initially close
but as the program opens on screen the taskbar pops-up unbidden. This
can be negated by moving the mouse over, then away from, the Taskbar.
Highly irritating. Toggling (Alt-Tab) between two full-screen programs
gets to be tedious.
With the 'Application Launcher' option the widget closes when opening an
App. but the taskbar remains visible (collapsible with mouse in-out).
3) When installing Wine (either the ancient 1.6 version from the repo.
or the 1.8 ppa) it does not create a 'Wine' entry in the Application
Menu but dumps everything into 'Lost and Found'. Attempts to manually
rectify the menu structure with the Menu Editor fail. I'm assuming this
to be a (K)ubuntu issue as it affects the repo version.
Question - Does anyone else experience any of these defects?
Hardware: Dell E521 (8 years old), AMD Athlon64 X2 4200+, 2Gb Ram,
nVidia GeForce 7300 LE, nvidia-304 driver using XRender (the best it can
manage without an argument).
