Loading on a Toughbook CF-30

I can't get the DVD to boot. I went into the bios and made the first 
boot device the DVD drive. Loaded the DVD [ 14.04 ], which has never 
failed to boot before in anything, and the drive lights flicker but nothing.

Any suggestions appreciated.
