photo story for linux

I would recommend photofilmstrip as a possibility.
I am not sure how well it will suit your purposes,
but it is available and does create movies out of
photos with sound.
You can find it with: apt-cache show photofilmstrip
You can install it with: sudo apt-get install photofilmstrip
