Can't start Akonadi after upgrading to 15.10

Decided to upgrade to 15.10 this afternoon and now that I'm on 15.10 I am
unable to start Akonadi. If I run Akonadi Console, I get the error "

Failed to connect to database: Can't connect to local MySQL server through
socket '/tmp/akonadi-mfraser.Ak41ik/mysql.socket' (2) QMYSQL: Unable to
connect"

twice and that's about it.

Can anyone help me?
