Can I get my desktop back in 15.04?

Mine were not lost when I reinstalled, but then I had a major problem 
upgrading from 14.04 to 14.10 last week and had no choice, but my /home 
partition was not touched and was able to login to my old desktop settings 
after installing Kubuntu 15.04 over 14.04 without any problem.
