Can login, but no KDE panel of desktop

Okay, I'm running again.  What I found was that in
.kde/share/autostart was a file plasma-netbook.desktop.  In that file
was the line
    Exec=plasma-netbook --desktop
I changed it to
    Exec=plasma-desktop
and now my startup works.

Strange.
