Change default file manager in Plasma 5.3

I've been using 15.04 for a couple of days now, and am frustrated by what
appears to be the new file manager, especially in applications like Kate
which I use to edit files directly on remote servers. In Dolphin I could
specify several remote server and get to them from any application, but now
I can't.

Is there a way to make Dolphin my default file manager? Or, at least, add
network locations to the new default file manager?
