Session Bus Gone AWOL

Using 12.04.5.

I've had problems getting DBus working for a long time.
I think I've finally found _a_ reason why, though there
may be more than one, but here's where it just starts
getting wierd. I hope someone knows how to fix this.

When I use, "ListDBus", I get:

ListDBus
Exception in thread "main" org.freedesktop.dbus.exceptions.DBusException:
Cannot Resolve Session Bus Address
         at
org.freedesktop.dbus.DBusConnection.getConnection(DBusConnection.java:267)
         at org.freedesktop.dbus.bin.ListDBus.main(ListDBus.java:53)

When I try, "DBusViewer", I get an unbelieveable amount
of stuff. There isn't enough room in bash's buffer to
hold it all. When I try to capture it with,

"DBusViwer >>fil", as above, most of the lines are
printed out again, and are prefixed with, "at". Then
in the file, "fil", again there is an unbelieveable
amount of stuff, but each line seems to be prefixed
with, "visit", and it seems to be different, if
some of it, similar, stuff.

Anyone got a handle on DBus?

Bill
