Installation hangs at "Configuring udev"

I'm in the process of installing Kubuntu 15.04 on my relatively new Asus
laptop. I've done the basic install, and am now trying to install all the
updates necessary. However, it keeps hanging at "Configuring udev". Not
entirely sure what that means, or how to fix it so I can finish the
installation. Anyone got any advice?
