Installing Kubuntu from a iso

I have been trying to get Kubuntu version 15.04 to work since it came
out in April. I have a disk I burned with version 15.04 . When it came
up as an Upgrade I did the upgrade and was not able to get just passed
the login screen. I do not know what I have to do with the partitions
when I reach that point in installing the iso disk.
Can anyone safely lead me through deleting and changing the
parrtitions. This is what I have now.

When I boot up the first item is labled unbuntu and at Login I can
choose Xfce, or Plasma which will not load, or Gnome, Ubuntu, and
Failsafe. I also have windows98 and then the bad Kubuntu.

The others will only load Kubuntu with parts missing and what you see on
the screen is out of proportion and not able to read. I will get a shot
of my Grub when I reboot ans send it in another (or add it to this) Email
