You could either take it to a computer repair shop or have someone
come to you (some of the bigger computer stores have techs they'll
send out). They can use multi-meters to test the components in your
computer and find out which ones are still healthy. Or you could just
replace all the vitals. I wouldn't throw away the old parts, though.
If you're not comfortable testing them, you could always donate them
to a school or Boys and Girls Club or church so someone who's into
that sort of thing can find out how much of it can be salvaged and
put to good use. (:
