KDE no longer starts after login

I'm not sure this will work if it happens with multiple users, but I had
the same exact problem recently - could <ctr><alt><F1> into a console, but
Plasma would simply not start up. In my case, deleting the file .Xauthority
in my home directory and rebooting fixed the problem for me. YMMV.
