CM108 USB Audio device stopped working

I just did so on my friend's Mac(that's the only one I've access to).
The device is detected correctly as an USB UPnP audio device but again
no sound when connected. The light blinks when audio is being played
so I guess some component inside the hardware did fail. Guess it's
time to get a new one. Thanks a lot for the help everyone!
