Problems with 14.04 upgrade...

Uninstalling lightdm and reinstalling KDM again fixed the issue:
1. reset /etc/X11/default-display-manager to point to KDM
2. then the following commands:
# apt-get remove lightdm
# apt-get purge lightdm
# apt-get install kdm
Still have the other issue, but at least it works again.

That's probably what it is. I prefer KDM of lightdm...can't figure out why they
are forcing a switch. I uninstalled lightdm on 13.10...I'll give that a try tonight.
