ctrl-space doesn't work

If you assign the shortcut ctrl-space to some other function, there 
should be a warning that it is already in use and it should also mention 
what it is assigned for.

I just tried this on this machine and it wasn't assigned to anything. 
OTOH that doesn't mean a lot because I often remove shortcuts I don't 
like.
